Do you need a commercial building inspection for a smoke test, generator tests, fire alarms, or other fire needs but need the inspection to take place outside of normal business hours? The City of Miami Fire Prevention Bureau provides this service.  Quality Inspection Techniques

After-Hours inspections are available Mon-Fri 7:00 pm-11:00 pm and Sat-Sun 06:00am-5:00 pm.

This service applies to certain fire inspections, which include the following:

NOTE: Any other inspection/test will require special permission from the Fire Marshal or their designee. Continue with the application, below, and you'll be notified if your permission has been granted.

NOTE: ONLY ONE TYPE OF INSPECTION CAN BE REQUESTED AT A TIME.

After your application is reviewed, you'll receive an invoice from the Fire Prevention Bureau with a transaction ID. You can use that ID to pay your invoice through our online system.

After your form has been reviewed and your payment received, you will hear from an inspector to schedule your inspection. This will usually be within two business days. 

NOTE: Once your inspection has been scheduled, if you need to cancel, you must notify your inspector and Captain Dominguez (786-553-0780) by 3pm that day, or you will be charged the full fee.
